Each day at ECU Health hospitals, volunteers help deliver the high-quality, compassionate care our patients and their families deserve. They fill a variety of roles, from interacting with patients to helping families find their way around the hospital. Some volunteers use their skills and training to assist with administrative work or serve as lab assistants or nursing aides. We work hard to match your interests with a volunteer position that is right for you.
Our volunteers range from retirees who want to contribute years of knowledge and valuable work experience to young people who want to get a head start on a rewarding career through the VolunTeen program. As different as our volunteers are, they share important qualities: they are caring, compassionate and willing to help others.
